Service

Villa services provided to holiday makers.

Villa owners provide all essential services to make your vacation comfortable: gardening, garbage collection, swimming pool service, consumables replacement of such things like light bulbs, filters and safety devices. By this way you get the same services like in a hotel, except room cleaning and bed linen changing.

An ideal solution is to hire a housemaid for eight hours per day. It will make your stay in a villa much more comfortable than in any hotel room.

Local housemaids have only one weak point (except the eight-hour rate of almost USD17), they do not have basic knowledge about the country you come from and don’t speak a word in English. The rest of services they provide are on the top level.

Is it possible to stay without a housemaid? Yes, it is. I tried it myself while my children and wife were not here. So, let’s see the difference.

Food.

Though I have two housemaids I still eat in restaurants or take food away ones or twice a day as it is of excellent quality at affordable price. There are few hundreds restaurants on the island and new ones open constantly.

From the other side, a housemaid can cook dishes, which are not served in the restaurants. For example rare fishes or sea food that are usually not included in the restaurant’s menu, because their availability is not guaranteed. A housemaid cooks for kids, which is certainly an advantage. It is not always comfortable to eat in a restaurant with children.

Laundry Service.

All life on the island is built around tourism, so laundries are numerous here. Average rate is 30 baht per kilo of laundry. The only inconvenience is that it takes 24 hours to get your things ready. A housemaid can wash something you need urgently in few hours but you’ll have to buy washing powder.

Cleaning.

You definitely can’t handle it without a housemaid’s help. But a good thing, that some villa owners provide their housemaids for cleaning twice a week free of charge.
